Colin Bull, professor emeritus at The Ohio State University and pioneering polar scientist, passed away on Sept. 7, 2010. He was the leader of the 1958-59 Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition to the McMurdo Dry Valleys during the International Geophysical Year, the beginning of a lifelong association with the cold continent.
