Going Up

The Arctic crossed a disturbing threshold this past spring. And the Antarctic isn’t too far behind. NOAA scientists recently announced that the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere around Barrow, Alaska, reached 400 parts per million in April, the first time the greenhouse gas has been that high at a remote location.
