Erebus Erupts

There were hints as early as August. In October, however, the signs that Erebus volcano was waking up in a big way became unmistakable when a broadband seismic station on the flanks of Antarctica’s southernmost active volcano showed a signal akin to a spike on an electrocardiogram chart.
